Let me begin by expressing my hope that you, dear blog reader, will recognize and appreciate the clarity of thought and moral courage it has required to publish this historic message. It will be unpopular among the selfish and shallow thinkers (all Libertarians, most Republicans and three Democrats), but it is time for WE, THE INTELLIGENTSIA, to shoulder the responsibility that accompanies the extraordinary intelligence with which the Big Bang has endowed us. We must speak out, letting the chips fall where they may.

The first amendment to the US Constitution seems innocuous enough at first reading:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

What our founders failed to realize is that there are millions of emotionally and/or behaviorally challenged among us who may be unduly influenced to the point of violence by the critical remarks of others. These unstable unfortunates (referred to in a less-enlightened era simply as lunatics, whackos or nutjobs) may be inadvertently set off by negative or critical remarks about anything!

Let’s face it, as long as the Emotionally/Behaviorally Challenged (EBC) are among us, free speech is evil. Let us patriotic Americans turn at last to the advice good American mothers have given their children for centuries: “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all”. We must, as responsible citizens, limit our speech to being positive and non-critical. Criticizing or complaining must be recognized for the criminal act that it really is. It is time to correct the lack of vision and foresight exhibited by those who concocted the obviously obsolete document we call The Constitution (who did not understand the delicate sensibilities of the EBC and probably referred to them as “teched in the head”). Amend the First Amendment!!!!

With this blog, I am calling on our courageous Protectors in congress to step forward and co-sponsor a bill to add just one tiny little phrase to the current wording of the First Amendment: “positive, non-critical and upbeat” just prior to the word “speech”. Thus the amended amendment would read:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of positive, non critical and upbeat speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

This very clever constitutional strategy effectively circumvents the archaic, tedious and needlessly expensive process required for amending the Constitution itself. I am assured by a highly respected (but anonymous by his request) Constitutional scholar (a Harvard graduate, for gosh sakes!), that this is the quickest and most effective way to address this “critical problem” (pardon the pun): Don’t amend the Constitution, simply amend the amendment! The constitution is silent on this subject, so all that is required to accomplish this urgent change is a simple majority of Congress (and everyone knows the majority of Congress is simple.)

I am having a very difficult time understanding many of my “fellow Americans”.

I look around me and see the “American Way” quickly becoming something I am less than proud of.   I see that corruption in our federal government has risen to extreme levels that I never thought possible.

Radicals, socialists, communists, crooks, thugs and automatons pervade the highest levels of our government.

I see a huge power shift from the people to our corrupt government.

I see Black Panther bullies given a pass for outlandish intimidation of voters at a polling place.  By the way, my concern has NOTHING to do with race, it has only to do with America and our law.  I wonder how Mr. Holder would have handled guys in white sheets intimidating black voters in Mississippi?  (I would hope he would stow them under the jail as he should have done with the Panthers. Now I have insulted both the panthers and the clan.)

I see a health care law enacted that creates many more problems than it solves and a US Army unit training in Georgia to handle “domestic unrest” with in our own borders.

I see terrorists being called ill instead of hateful and Americans who cherish traditional American values being ridiculed and mocked.

I see presidential promises broken with a wink instead of an apology (and America winks back).

Speaking of apologies, I see POTUS apologizing to the world for everything that is good in America.

I see our government trashing our relationships with our closest allies and sucking up to those who hate us.

I see our economy being trashed and our children’s future being squandered.

I see what has been a worthless media, rising up and becoming a malignant force that seems to be bent on our destruction.

And our congress! when did it become the enemy of America?

I feel like Rip Van Winkle!

It seems that bad has become the new good and good has become outdated, uncool, and stupid. (Props to Isaiah the Hebrew prophet for warning us this would happen)

The point is, I see these things and think: Germany, circa 1936, Argentina, circa 1955 (or North Korea, circa today).  Whereas, millions of my fellow citizens, see a great new hero who is leading America to its glorious destiny.

And, when I try to talk to one of these citizens who refer to themselves by the euphemism “progressives”,  I begin to see how much trouble we are really in.  Trying to talk to these “progressives” about our founders and the constitution or freedom and its price, is worse than trying to talk to a fence post.  At least the fence post can generally be counted upon to be free from body odor and refrain from spitting on you or clubbing you to death with nonsensical sound bites and mantras.

It is more like trying to teach a pig to fly.  It is a complete waste of time and it annoys the pig.

In reading this, you may conclude that I hate Mr. Obama, but that is not the case.  I hate what he is doing to the America i grew up in.  The one that was created and preserved by the blood and sacrifice of my ancestors.  The one that I have served and struggled to pass on to my posterity.

But I do not hate Barack Obama.

I believe he is simply being himself and doing what he sincerely thinks is best for himself and those he cares about.  There are no surprises with Mr. Obama.  He is exactly what he seemed to be before he was elected and he is behaving exactly as he told us he would (for example: why should he prove he is ineligible for this great job when he can get a pass and keep feeding at the trough?).

When he reminded Republican law-makers that “Elections have consequences” shortly after his inauguration, he was simply setting the tone for his presidency.  He brought his friends and associates with him to Washington just as Jimmy Carter (the last president whose stupidity we almost didn’t survive) did.  It just so happens that rather than being a bunch of “crackers” (and I mean that in the kindest possible way.  Some of my best friends are from Georgia) Obama’s cronies are a bunch of thugs, crooks and radicals (ooops, now I have insulted Chicago).

I don’t hate Barak, I just want the USA to survive him and get back on track.

And I should say this:

Our country has been off track since long before Mr. Obama bounded onto our stage.  In fact, we have been the proverbial “frogs in a pot” for decades.

We have been steadily pursuing a slide down the slippery slope we started in 1962 when prayer was first banned in schools.  This slide was certainly accelerated in the decade beginning in 1965 during which we sacrificed 50,000 American lives in a futile war in Vietnam for which we had no clearly defined objective and no commitment to “win” (whatever that meant to the politicians), then again in 1973 when Roe v. Wade paved the way for the legal slaughter of over 40,000,000 unborn babies so far.

I thought the slide was over when Ronald Reagan was Elected in 1980.  Unfortunately, that merely just a pleasant delay, but it made me feel optimistic about our country again after the Carter fiasco…er… administration.

When you think about it, If the Obama regime serves as a wake up call to a sleeping American populace (who have been enjoying the warming water in the pot for at least five decades) before we actually boil to death, Mr. Obama could be the best thing that has happened to America in fifty years!

Thomas Sowell, as usual, cuts through the political demagoguery and CYA positioning surrounding the Gulf oil spill. In a pair of articles published at http://www.JewishWorldReview.com entitled “Oil and Snake Oil” and “Degeneration of Democracy” he calls us back to reason and establishes the central issues for our consideration.

I, personally, find it interesting that through all the rhetoric and finger pointing (which reminds me of my second grade class when our very stern looking teacher steps back into the room after a brief absence and stands glaring with her arms crossed) no one has presented one iota of evidence that BP has done anything illegal. Until that happens, BP must be considered the unfortunate victim of a terrible accident.  (What a concept: innocent until proven guilty!) In which case they are being crucified to help compound their misfortune and provide political currency.

The big oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is bad enough in itself. But politics can make anything worse.
Let’s stop and think. Either the government knows how to stop the oil spill or they don’t. If they know how to stop it, then why have they let thousands of barrels of oil per day keep gushing out, for weeks on end? All they have to do is tell BP to step aside, while the government comes in to do it right.
If they don’t know, then what is all this political grandstanding about keeping their boot on the neck of BP, the Attorney General of the United States going down to the Gulf to threaten lawsuits— on what charges was unspecified— and President Obama showing up in his shirt sleeves?
Just what is Obama going to do in his shirt sleeves, except impress the gullible? He might as well have shown up in a tuxedo with white tie, for all the difference it makes.
This government is not about governing. It is about creating an impression. That worked on the campaign trail in 2008, but it is a disaster in the White House, where rhetoric is no substitute for reality.
If the Obama administration was for real, and trying to help get the oil spill contained as soon as possible, the last thing its Attorney General would be doing is threatening a lawsuit. A lawsuit is not going to stop the oil, and creating a distraction can only make people at BP start directing their attention toward covering themselves, instead of covering the oil well.
If and when the Attorney General finds that BP did something illegal, that will be time enough to start a lawsuit. But making a public announcement at this time accomplishes absolutely nothing substantive. It is just more political grandstanding.
This is not about oil. This is about snake oil.

Just where in the Constitution of the United States does it say that a president has the authority to extract vast sums of money from a private enterprise and distribute it as he sees fit to whomever he deems worthy of compensation? Nowhere.
And yet that is precisely what is happening with a $20 billion fund to be provided by BP to compensate people harmed by their oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Many among the public and in the media may think that the issue is simply whether BP’s oil spill has damaged many people, who ought to be compensated. But our government is supposed to be “a government of laws and not of men.” If our laws and our institutions determine that BP ought to pay $20 billion– or $50 billion or $100 billion– then so be it.
But the Constitution says that private property is not to be confiscated by the government without “due process of law.” Technically, it has not been confiscated by Barack Obama, but that is a distinction without a difference.
With vastly expanded powers of government available at the discretion of politicians and bureaucrats, private individuals and organizations can be forced into accepting the imposition of powers that were never granted to the government by the Constitution.

If you believe that the end justifies the means, then you don’t believe in Constitutional government. And, without Constitutional government, freedom cannot endure. There will always be a “crisis”– which, as the president’s chief of staff has said, cannot be allowed to “go to waste” as an opportunity to expand the government’s power.
That power will of course not be confined to BP or to the particular period of crisis that gave rise to the use of that power, much less to the particular issues.

Some Conservatives claim that Beck is confused and that he is dividing the Republican party.

If questioning the Federal government does not make one less patriotic, then why does questioning the Republican party make one less conservative or even divisive?

Only a loyal friend will point out when you are doing something against you’re own core values. You may not like your friend very much at the moment that he/she calls you out; however, if you are true to your core values, you will thank your friend later.

A patriot is true to the Constitution. The Constitution contains our core values. Let’s remember this and work together to take our country back.

Beck’s criticism of some Republicans does not make him divisive at all. In fact, it demonstrates his patriotism and loyalty to conservatism.

If conservatives are serious about retaking congress in 2010, we had better ACT quickly and effectively. This will happen only if we find a way to unite in action, and do it fast.

True, “We The People” are all stirred up, angry and frightened.  This seems to be the ideal time to make our voices heard.  However, we all seem to march to the beat of our own drum.  Our voices sound more like a cacophony of a million rusty hinged doors of junkyard cars closing independently in a random rhythm, than the precise chord of a disciplined, harmonious choir with everyone doing their part.

Too many of us are depending on a national political party to save our country in the 2010 elections.  In many cases it is the Republican party being relied upon.  This is the same party whose arrogance and lack of clear values got us into this mess in the first place. Others depend upon the Libertarian Party or the Independent Party.

I am sorry but this gives me NO comfort.  This WILL NOT get the job done!

For the most part political parties are run by political hacks with personal agendas and ulterior motives that are not necessarily in line with the needs of our country.  This is evidenced best by the Republican party’s nomination of Bob Dole in 1996 and John McCain in 2008 because “it was their turn”.  As a result of the Dole nomination we enjoyed a second four years of Bill Clinton, with the accompanying scandals, impeachment hearings and serious damage to the Office of the Presidency itself.

The McCain nomination has given us the disastrous past nine months of Barack Obama (with only 39 more to go). The GOP made the decisions to back Dole and McCain based upon some obscure political protocol that gave no thought to who could really win or who would actually be best for the country.

We cannot delegate the fate of the United States of America to any one political party.  Like it or not, the fate of our beloved country lies in the hands of “We The People”,  just as it did in the time of the American Revolution.  This is not the time for patriots to hide themselves in complacency.  Either we unite and sing together in a single harmonious chorus or our liberty perishes.  It really is as simple as that.

The 2010 elections are just over one year from now.  We should ALREADY have a united strategy!  We should already have chosen target house and senate seats where we have a realistic chance to replace treacherous, self serving incumbents with true lovers of the USA, its constitution and liberties.  We should have already vetted and chosen candidates to unite behind for each of those seats.

We must discard political boundaries, for who is elected in North Carolina is just as important to someone living  in Texas as the representative sent to Washington from the home district.

We must discard political stereotypes and political labels.  There are clear thinking, courageous patriots in the GOP, the Libertarian Party, The Independent Party and yes, in the Democratic Party as well.

We must put on hold personal political ideologies that divide us and focus on the things we all agree upon.  In some cases we will feel so strongly about these issues that it will actually be painful to set them aside, even temporarily.

We must forget about selfish territorial interests and “pork” we can argue about that later.  We must forget about political debts and focus on saving the country.  We must be willing to think outside the box and elect people who are not insiders and have no political experience.

What is critical at this point is saving the United States of America and our Constitution.  We need to focus on that issue!  I believe our agenda must be very simple:  We must re-enthrone our constitution and redefine the role and size of our federal government.  We must put that federal government firmly back in the place in which our founders created it.  It must return to the role of servant of the people and the sovereign states, NOT the master.

We are going to have to dig deep into our pockets at a time when we can ill afford it.  We must financially support candidates across the USA.

This raises some basic questions:

How do we organize? Does the organization already exist that we can fall in with and trust to put aside the politics and help us vet the candidates?  One that we can trust to use our hard earned money wisely?  One that we can trust to resist temptation for personal gain and private agendas and pursue the fully disclosed and agreed upon agenda of “We The People”?

If this organization does not currently exist how on earth do we create one quickly and soundly enough to get the job done in 2010?

If you care about this country, We would like to have your suggestions.  Tell us which existing organizations we might be able to trust to pursue our agenda of re-enthroning our constitution and redefining the role and size of the federal government.

I suspect there is no single organization that conservatives will agree can be entrusted with this mission.  If that is the case, then I suggest that the following approach be adopted:

Establish a  volunteer governing board of proven conservative patriots who have NO connection to either The Trilateral Commission, The Council on Foreign Relations or the Bilderberg Group.

I suggest that the first three board members be organized from among clear thinking and influential conservatives at least two of which are NOT Washington “insiders”;  people like Thomas Sowell and Glenn Beck.  The third member might be a proven conservative elected official such as Michele Bachmann or Jason Chaffetz. The first three members will then choose an additional four to six members, consulting with conservative organizations such as The Heritage Foundation, The Cato institute, etc.

This board of Trustees would

  • Recruit volunteer staff
  • Hire staff with specific expertise as necessary
  • Develop overall project strategy
  • Target specific house and senate seats
  • Vet candidates to back
  • Oversee the raising and allocation of campaign funds

There is not a lot of time for those of us who love the America we inherited from our founders to act to take our country back.  Please give us your feedback and suggestions.  If patriots lack the passion and commitment  to step forward and join the debate, the fight is lost already, before we begin.

The men we have come to revere as our founding fathers were strong, opinionated, ordinary men. They didn’t think of themselves as heroes, yet they saw what needed to be done and did it regardless of the personal risk and sacrifice involved.

They must have wondered on many of those long lonely nights away from their lovers and their children if their sacrifices would ultimately be worth while. Surely in those lonely moments of doubt, they must have imagined the challenges, we, their posterity would face. Would we have the courage and the wisdom to face them and prevail? Would we be willing to pay the same price they did to preserve liberty for ourselves and our posterity?

They had charged ahead to the point of no return to the status quo. They had become criminals in the eyes of the lawful government of the land. They were condemned to lives as a fugitives and soldiers when they were really farmers and tradesmen.

I find their ability to imagine our future and plan for it in the constitution they adopted amazing. Clearly they saw our day and recorded warnings and encouragement for us to see at the times we would need it most.

Here then are some timely warnings from our firebrand forebearers, revolutionaries and trouble makers all. I will let them speak for themselves, warnings from the grave:

First and foremost these men feared the potential for evil that government holds. They mistrusted government in general and encouraged the same of us Government was to play a very narrow, controlled role in our nation:

George Washington:

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

The marvel of all history is the patience with which men and women submit to burdens unnecessarily laid upon them by their governments

John Adams:

Fear is the foundation of most governments.

The happiness of society is the end of government.

While all other sciences have advanced, that of government is at a standstill – little better understood, little better practiced now than three or four thousand years ago.

Thomas Jefferson

Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one.

Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves are its only safe depositories.

I own that I am not a friend to a very energetic government. It is always oppressive.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them

Our country is now taking so steady a course as to show by what road it will pass to destruction, to wit: by consolidation of power first, and then corruption, its necessary consequence.

The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground.

The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to be always kept alive.

And finally, Thomas Paine

That government is best which governs least.

They also generally mistrusted those who would step forth and seek to govern, understanding that by its nature the very power vested in government would attract the wrong kind of person.

Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism.

It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.

There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty.
Power always thinks it has a great soul and vast views beyond the comprehension of the weak.
Power always thinks… that it is doing God’s service when it is violating all his laws.
Because power corrupts, society’s demands for moral authority and character increase as the importance of the position increases.

Thomas Jefferson:

Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.
All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.
Power is not alluring to pure minds.

There was no mistake in the minds of these men the role that the second amendment was to play in keeping us free. The purpose of an armed citizenry is to protect itself from the tyranny of its own government!

Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; they are the peoples’ liberty’s teeth.

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

For a people who are free, and who mean to remain so, a well-organized and armed militia is their best security.

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.

Every citizen should be a soldier. This was the case with the Greeks and Romans, and must be that of every free state.

We must listen to these men and heed their warnings. The nature of men and governments is unchanging. Our founders experienced oppression, felt the chains and were determined that we never would!

Our precious liberty was fought for and purchased with the blood of men and women whose names we may never hear. And as Jefferson predicted, the tree of our liberty has been nourished with the blood of heroes and tyrants from time to time since then.

The soils of Europe, the sands of Africa the atolls of the pacific, the jungles of Asia, and now the rugged terrain and desserts of the middle east are all stained with the blood of brave Americans who stood with our founders and shouted “the liberty of my fellow countrymen and our posterity is more important than my very life!

God help us to see clearly and honor their sacrifice. Help us to stand up to any would be tyrants that threaten our liberty and disdain our constitution. Help us to successfully crush any who would rob our children of the great legacy that has been bequeathed to them through the blood and sacrifice of patriots throughout the existence of our great land. Help us not to be the weak link that breaks this divine chain of liberty, the last great hope of the world.

wolfpack2Many years ago, large packs of wolves roamed the countryside in Ukraine, making travel in that part of the world very dangerous. These wolf packs were fearless. They were not intimidated by people nor by any of the weapons available at that time. The only thing that seemed to frighten them was fire. Consequently, travelers who found themselves away from cities developed the common practice of building a large bonfire and keeping it burning through the night. As long as the fire burned brightly, the wolves stayed away. But if it were allowed to burn out and die, the wolves would move in for an attack. Travelers understood that building and maintaining a roaring bonfire was not just a matter of convenience or comfort; it was a matter of survival.

The founding fathers understood human nature and they especially understood the nature of man with power. In a speech at the Constitutional Convention, James Madison said, “All men having power ought to be distrusted to a certain degree.”  Joseph Smith, a 19th century pioneer religious leader, once wrote:

“We have learned by sad experience that it is the nature and disposition of almost all men, as soon as they get a little authority, as they suppose, they will immediately begin to exercise unrighteous dominion.”


Our Apathy is at the Heart of the Problem

So how do we citizens of the United States of America protect ourselves from the wolves that govern us? First, we need to recognize that we all bear responsibility for allowing the wolves to govern us.  thomas_jeffersonThomas Jefferson said:

“We have the greatest opportunity the world has ever seen, as long as we remain honest — which will be as long as we can keep the attention of our people alive. If they once become inattentive to public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors would all become wolves.”

Jefferson also said, “The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground.”

We are a nation that enjoys prosperity and freedom.  However, we take these blessing for granted.  Many go so far as to feel entitled to them. Most of us are far removed from the day when all lives were touched by evil men.  Some spent their days fighting for freedom in the halls of government.  Many gave their lives fighting for freedom on battlegrounds.  Many fought for freedom in their homes teaching their children the true price of freedom.  Today we enjoy the freedom that was bought and paid for by great women and men.

The words of Samuel Adams should haunt every American of our generation:

“The liberties of our country, the freedoms of our civil Constitution are worth defending at all hazards; it is our duty to defend them samuel_adamsagainst all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors. They purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood. It will bring a mark of everlasting infamy on the present generation – enlightened as it is – if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of designing men.”

However, as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. taught us, “Freedom is not free”.

The wolves are always lurking hungrily on the fringes of our liberty, impatiently waiting for us to fall asleep and let the fires of our vigilance burn low. Anxious to lull us into what promises to be a most fateful slumber, they make hollow promises as “evidence” of their good intent. What happens when the fires burn completely out? We are consumed by the wolves and the ashes of vigilance untended become cold comfort for generations to come.

Get Informed

After we recognize the problem and our part in it, we need to realize that we can and must be part of the solution.  So, what do we do to keep the bonfires burning and the wolves at bay?

Thomas Jefferson taught us to educate ourselves, our family, and each other. He said, “Educate and inform the whole mass of the people… They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.” Successful vigilance demands knowledge. As a minimum we should all read the documents that define our liberty: The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution and become familiar with how our republican form of government works. We can learn valuable lessons by studying the lives of those who led the way in our Revolution of 1776. To fulfill our duty as citizens, we must be learned enough to stoke the fires and defend our freedom.

What is your duty as a citizen?  To protect and maintain the freedom that you enjoy for future generations.  Thomas Jefferson taught that, “The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.”  We cannot let those bonfires go out.

kennedyIn his inaugural address, President John F. Kennedy said, “my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.”   It is important to remember that our country is NOT our government and that our government was created by the people that it governs. In his famous Gettysburg address, Abraham Lincoln said that our government is a “Government of the people, by the people, for the people”.

Patrick Henry teaches us a very important concept about our constitution which maps out our government. He said:

“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government – lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.”

As we become more informed it is then our responsibility to educate our children, and inform our family, friends and elected officials.  As informed citizens, we can be true patriots and keep our government in line.   Once again, Thomas Jefferson counseled, “All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.”

Most people feel that they can change nothing by themselves.  This is not true.  Jefferson said, “One man with courage is a majority.”  However, you’re not alone. There are many people who feel the same way that you do; people of all political persuasions.  Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Libertarians, Conservatives, Liberals –all feel disenfranchised by their party and their government.  Most people sense that something is wrong with our government.

Meet with these folks.  Share your concerns, thoughts, and ideas with each other.  You will find that there is more that binds us than separates us.

Don’t start your discussions with issues that “divide” and remember that  disagreement is fine.  Debate is great. When dealing with stubborn people remember what these great quotes:

Be Vigilant With Elected Officials

Write your elected officials. Tell them what you think about the issues of the day. Let them know when they make mistakes or overstep their bounds. They are less likely to step out of bounds if they know that we are watching and they need to know that we are watching all the time, not just on election day.  Said Thomas Jefferson, “That government is the strongest of which every man feels himself a part.”

Our first president, George Washington seemed to have been speaking to Americans of today when he warned, “Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.”

Police State U.S.A?

Ok, go ahead and say it… you know you’ve thought it: U.S. Police State. A concept I would never have dreamed in my worst nightmares, now looms as a disturbingly real possibility.

Let me preface my thoughts by saying that I am not ready to charge that POTUS has a heart as black as Adolph Hitler. As a nation we can not fully know his heart until we see what he does with the power he has been accumulating. We know what Hitler did with the power he gathered during the 1920s and 30s. For Germany it was truly the frog-in-the-pot syndrome. Hitler realized the value of gradual positioning and preparation, from the 1922 establishment of the innocuous sounding “Hitler Jugend” (Hitler Youth) Hitler Youthand moving relentlessly toward the grand finale of WWII and the Holocaust. He left his country in ruins, both literally and figuratively. And the “frogs” who had sat trustingly in his “pot” were thoroughly boiled and left in spiritual tatters. Generations of Germans have paid and still pay the terrible price for the millions of dead and generations of misery their country wrought upon the world.

However, it’s worth noting that President Obama doesn’t seem to have the patience for gradualism. In fact, his speed at gathering powers makes Hitler look like cold molasses by comparison. He is quickly arming himself with the capability to place his boot on America’s neck without further warning, thus making opposition to his regime impractical. Will he use it? We know that President Obama is not reluctant to use and abuse the power already entrusted to him, our Constitution notwithstanding. He seems to enjoy flexing his new POTUS muscles. Ask Chrysler stockholders, creditors, or advertising vendors.

Consider the following developments during Obama’s short tenure as POTUS:

  • Establishment of what will likely come to be colloquially known as the “Obama Youth/ Brown-shirt Corps” through The Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act which became law April 21, 2009. During his campaign Obama said: “We can not continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we have set. (applause) We’ve gotta have a civilian national security force that is just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded…(applause) Watch the video and listen to him here:


  • The law authorizes a “paid volunteer” (isn’t that an oxymoron?) force of 250,000 which Obama clearly intends to use for “national security” here in the homeland.

  • Obama’s budget quadruples funding for Tax law enforcement over the next five years, again for policing US citizens.
  • A Domestic security force of 20,000 U.S. troops is being established within the United States in preparation for civil unrest, among other things. Read about it in the Dec 1, 2008 Washington Post article
  • Subsequently, evidence has emerged that the intention may well be to increase this Domestic Security Force to 80,000. The FBI’s National Infrastructure Protection Center (NIPC), published an unclassified Protective Intelligence Communication Report in March 2009 concerning the “crescendo” of public concern about Obama’s presidential eligibility. The report warns: “if…Mr. Obama fights revealing his documentation, there is growing concern of civil unrest, or worse, being unleashed in the streets of our nation. The economic crisis coupled with this type of a constitutional crisis could prove to be a flashpoint that would test conventional law enforcement and elements of homeland security.”
  • A March article in The Army Times cites recommendations by the Army’s Strategic Studies Institute, that a “Consequence Management Response Force (CCMRF),” (currently the role of the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team) might eventually comprise upwards of 80,000 troops. This “Force” is being trained and readied to deal with what could be widespread civil disorder resulting from an “unforeseen economic collapse” or “loss of a functional political and legal order.”
  • Moved to establish control of vital US internal communications

    • The FCC already has power over the jamming of cell phone signals nationwide
  • President Obama has cowed American industry into quick submission and directly controls several key industries. US Auto industry has now decended to the level of the old Soviet Union. It is essentially controlled by the “government” (read: Obama) and the workers (read UAW). When was the last time you saw a sleek looking Russian made vehicle cruising the strip? I thought so!
  • The labor unions are eating out of the President’s hand.
  • His Messianic following continues to spread at home and throughout the third world.


  • Could a police state happen here in the United States of America or is this simply paranoia? You tell me.
