Great post.

We have had a long tradition of foolish legislation that was once derided in traditional media, and now in the blogosphere. The traditional reactions, no matter how pointed or ascerbic, boil down to ineffectual hand-wringing and cannot bring about a solution to the core problem.

On the other hand, reversing Wickard v. Filburn would be the single most significant action in US politics since FDR. It would provide the method as well as a mandate to invalidate legislation by those who believe that Washington can do anything it wants. Whether it is to be accomplished by reversing FDR’s court-packing or by a direct constitutional amendment, this reversal should be the explicit goal of every liberty-loving patriot in the country.
