“There Are Many More Like Me . . .”

The would-be assassin of the 278 innocents aboard Northwest Airlines flight 253, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, made that boast/threat after his bombing attempt failed due to a faulty detonator.

I just hope and pray that the FBI and CIA have a sufficient supply of Hershey bars to entice Mr. Abdulmutallab to “tell all” and spare the lives of others among us whose greatest sin might be a desire to travel to visit loved ones. Heaven forbid that anyone might even consider making dear Mr. Abdulmutallab (who is, after all, only alleged to have attempted a terrorist act) uncomfortable in any way. Only rightwing zealots would even think of waterboarding. The mere suggestion of such uncomfortable acts is ridiculous when we all know that Hershey bars and double frequent flyer points for the flight he almost blew up will surely provide enough “incentive” for Abdulmutallab to spill his guts.

Dear Mr. Abdulmutallab, as you lift your pretty little Muslim-terrorist head from your soft pillow this morning, my suggestion would be that you unfurl your little Prayer Rug, point it in the direction of Mecca, drop to your knees, and thank Allah that George Bush is not President! Not to fear, you will live to fly again. Those promised virgins are still within your reach . . .

Possibilities

by Doug on December 24, 2009 · 0 comments

in Christmas

Her fresh young face
Poised above
His tiny perfect one.
Her tender eyes gleam
With affection at his,
Wrapped in slumber.
~
She snuggles him warmer.
Determined brows arch
Straining to lift lids
From sleepy eyes.
~
A small squeak
Signals the failure of this endeavor.
Lips purse into a tiny bow,
Then relax to a wee smile
As if a blissful thought
Had wafted through his dream.
~
Her joy overflows,
Spills down her cheeks.
She dreams of…..
~
Possibilities.
~
For tonight…
Water turned to wine
And the tear damp smile
of Nain’s widow,
Remain concealed
In deep soft futurefolds .
~
This night,
Times kind meridian
Grants her shelter from
Looming day
Of thorny crown,
And crimson earth.
~
Mysteries of empty tomb
And endless worlds redeemed
Float beyond
Her dreaming.
~
Tonight,
Her arms filled with holiness,
Her face soft aglow
With the ancient light
Of numberless distant suns,
She can only see…..
~
Possibilities.

If you are interested in a preview of the USA of the future should we fail to end our plunge into leftist utopia, look no farther than Detroit.  Detroit has been the model city for the leftist vision of Utopia since the 1960′s.

It is a city detached from the economic realities of supply and demand and the fight to remain competitive and give customers what they want.  It is a city where the critical balance of power between labor and capital was artificially jammed in favor of labor, giving inordinate power to unions.  Wages and benefits have been maintained at the highest in the world without regard to value provided.  Failure was not allowed, the rich uncle (Sam) was always there to bail out.  People were not fired, they were simply moved into “job banks” drawing near full pay for NOT working.  A workers paradise!

This thought provoking video takes us on a tour of this workers’ paradise today as the unemployment rate pushes 30%.  One fact says it all: A Detroit student today is more likely to go to prison than to graduate from high school.

Liberal or conservative, Republican or Democrat, you owe yourself a look at this video.

Fistgate IV: Obama’s Safe Schools Czar Passed Out Gay Bar Guides to Teens at GLSEN Events

Only in the Obama White House can a man with a history of handing out gay bar guides to teens be promoted to Safe Schools Czar.

Earlier today it was reported that Kevin Jennings’ Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) organization was distributing gay bar directories to high school students at the 2005 Massachusetts GLSEN conference.

This wasn’t an isolated incident.

Santa Portrayed as Rapist?

The North Pole is a very different world in Jeff Goode’s imagination. Mrs. Claus is an alcoholic, Cupid is an openly gay reindeer, and Santa Claus is accused of raping Vixen.

His Christmas play, “The Eight: Reindeer Monologues,” is being performed in theatres across the country – from New York and Philadelphia to Atlanta and San Diego. Most reviewers call it good-natured holiday fun – but some critics don’t see the humor in a show that portrays Santa Claus as an alleged pedophile with a penchant for bestiality.
