I just cannot understand those against this the Republican party was our party and there is just no way we can ever vote this way again, due to the fact my husband and I both lost our jobs over a year ago no fault of our own, we are both out of unemployment facing homelessness in less than a month, utilities will soon be off, and we have children and grand children. How could then just keep fighting over this? People are going to start dieing soon. I do not understand it is getting cold out, food pantry’s are running out of food, please please lets get together and change this.

Please please pass this bill. My son has been out of work and no unemployment for a month now. At least with unemployment he could put food on the table and keep the lights on. This does not just hurt the thousands out of work but it hurts the people working too. How many of you can reach into your pockets righ now and pull out a $10.00, the people who unemployment can’t.

Well, I’ve got less than 1 month til benefits end. Can you say “Stressed out!”. Surely, Congress can throw those of us a bone to keep us from falling off the edge of the financial grid!? Fortunately, my child support has been kept up to date with some benefits and my children are not suffering, but, if they do not extend benefits en lieu of the current soft job market – I’ll soon become one of the few, the ashamed, the FINANCIAL DEADBEAT DAD! Come on congress – I’m not to blame for the debacle we’re in – but, soon I will be the poster child for this mess while living in a van down by the river!!

To say that I’m disappointed with the lack of concern shown by the senate is a major understatement! I have no unemployment insurance left. I’ve had to file backruptcy and move with hopes of obtaining a job. My wife and I are losing our house, and to top it off not only are my enemployment benifits out, but the senate could care less if we starve to death or not. I survived 10 months without missing a payment, and a credit score in the high 700’s having NEVER missed a payment until June this year. Now since I can’t find a job, and my savings are gone, I have no idea where things are going from here. It’s obvious that the senate could care less, so we all need to keep this in mind come election time. VOTE EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM OUT OF OFFICE!!! We’ve let them ruin our country for the last time. We let them put NAFTA into place. We let them allow all our good paying industrial jobs to move to other countries. We let them add, and add, and add, to the size of government and increase the federal deficit to a point where we are a bankrupt nation. We let them continue to give themselves pay raises and benifits that we have no chance at attaining for ourselves. We voted them in to be caretakers of our country and they have stolen from us instead. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!

“UNBELIEAVEABLE” WHAT IN THE WORLD IS IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO TAKE A LOOK AROUND AND SEE THAT PEOPLE NEED HELP! WHY ARE WE WASTING TIME TRYING TO HELP OTHER COUNTRIES WITHOUT REGARDS TO THE CITIZENS WITHIN THE UNITED STATES. NO MONEY, NO JOBS, NO PLACE TO LIVE, THE GOVERNMENT IS LOOKING AT AN ALL TIME EXPLOSION OF CONFUSION AND MAYHEM THE CLOSER IT GETS TO THE HOLIDAYS THE MORE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW THEY ARE GOING TO SURVIVE WITHOUT THE MUCH NEEDED HELP FROM OUR SO CALLED GOVERNMENT. WHO IS LOOKING OUT FOR THE LITTEL PEOPLE?

THE LACK OF CONCERN FOR THE PEOPLE HAS REACHED THE LIMIT!!
I THINK YOU SHOULD HAVE ALL THE PEOPLE IN NEED SHOW UP
AT YOUR HOUSE FOR DINNER!!
THE BENEFITS NEED TO BE PRIORITY AND TELL EDD TO SPEED UP
THE PROCESSING IN GETTING CLAIM FORMS OUT TO THE PEOPLE.
WE CANNOT WAIT (3) WEEKS AFTER ITS PASSED FOR A CHECK!!!!

For the life of me I don’t understand why the Repuclicans keep blocking this vote, I am a single female and lost my job over a year ago. I was in the Transportation Industry (sales) when fuel prices hit their highest. I lost my job for NO OTHER REASON THAN THAT. I’ve worked and paid taxes in this county for 30 years, I raised 3 children by myself while working 2 jobs for 13 years. I never got assistance from the government then and I really don’t like taking it now but….my unemployment has run out (just last week). I have temporary custody of my 2 grandchildren because my son & daughter in law are both deployed to the Middle East fighting for our country. I look for word EVERY SINGLE DAY and still can’t find a job.

They don’t care because they still get a paycheck, insurance and every other benefit that :”WE THE PEOPLE”: provide them with.

What the He_ _ is going on this country. We send aid to all of these foreign countries, and take care of their families when they need surgery they can’t get in their own countries. In the US when you don’t have medical coverage, you are looked down upon when you enter a hospital for not having insurance, yet, all the people that are here illegally, they get free medical care. We are asking our own country to extend the unemployment for it’s own people, and the republicans are holding it up???? Sign the paperwork and give to your own people.

I too am waiting anxiously for this bill to pass before the 1st of the month when rent is due, so I can at least continue my daily job search without having that hanging over my head. How about this; instead of giving my a “handout”, as some might say, give me a job, I have a pretty decent resume, trust me I would rather be working right now…any takers…I will send you all my info…immediatley…………..I didnt think so.

I also do not understand why the unemployment extension bill is stalled in the Senate and why our Government is so slow to respond to the immidiate and dire need of the unemployed to receive the extension to survive.
It is not the fault of the unemployment benefit recepiants that the economy tanked and there are very few available jobs out here.
I have been unemployed and receiving unemployment benefits since March of 2009 and have just recently begun my first tier UI extension. If I had not been able to receive that extension I would have no income at all to pay rent, buy gas for the car to search for jobs that aren’t there and eat.
Is the Senate debating the cost of the extension and if so why when NASA tested a missle today and what did that cost?? Where are their priorities??
The Senate should consider the dire and immidiate needs of the United States Citizen’s first before spending Billions on future moon projects.
Soon, as more and more unemployed have reached the exhaustion of their UI Benefits, our Country will begin to resemble the aftermath of the Great Depression when starving and homeless citizen’s were waiting in line to receive a bowl of soup to eat and sleeping on the streets while Billion’s are being spent on future trips to the moon. I doubt the starving and homeless children and adults will take any comfort knowing that our government wished to spend the Billions on the moon projects while pinching pennies when it came to the victims of the big banks greed and the Senate’s failure to respond to the needs of the jobless citizen’s.
Please, Senate, Congress, and President Obama, fully support the victims of this economic depression and after you have extended benefits for at least another year (as President Obama stated recently the job market will not recover soon) then please all sit down and work on developing our economy and producing living wage jobs for we the people so the economy of this country will be healthy not only for the unemployed now but for our children and grandchildren who after all, are the future of this Country.

My wife and I are now in the same peril as most of you. Her unemployment has completely been exhausted. My unemployment has several months to go but is less than 20% of what we need to eat and keep the lights on. We are supporting 2 children and 1 grandchild. I never in my wildest nightmares thought it would come to this. What I want someone to tell me is what do we do? How do we ban together to create a loud enough cry for our government to act. When the hell is the march on Washington??

This bill will be passed in November but ONLY help those that run out by Dec. 31, right? So for those of us running out the first week in January we have no extra weeks is the way this is written as I see it. Is this correct? This only is helping those who run out by Dec. 31 and for those of us in January we are out of luck. I don’t understand why it’s written this way instead of covering the American people for a few months at a time.

Got ONE For You….For all the people out there no work or unemployment checks. All need to tell the Congerss and Senate we got our tents and we need a place to camp…We will be gald to pop them in their front lawns. When the homeless show up on their front lawns we should be welcome with open arms and not arrested for trespassing since they are the one putting us in that homeless position.Camp sites will cost money that we do not have so we will need to go somewhere, and we should not have to go underneath the nearest bridge for cover. We will soon be a nation of HOBO’s and Spare Changers…Thanx White House Politicans….We all really appreciate it..The Forgotten
